Location is Rainbow Shooting Range, 3139 Rainbow Valley Blvd, Fallbrook CA. 92028 We will meet at the Instructor Range I-2 past the office on the right.
$35 range fee will be collected in class. Cash or check made to “Rainbow Alliance Inc”.
Prerequisites: Student should bring their own pistol and ammunition. If you do not have your own pistol or ammunition, you can rent one of ours for an extra charge. You can choose from 8 pistols we we have. Choose from 7 semi-automatic pistols from .22 LR to .40 cal. If you prefer a revolver, we have 1 double-action revolver you can use.
Length of course: 3 hours
Course Goal: To provide beginning shooters with an introduction to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to own and use a specific pistol model safely.
Course Outline
Lesson 1: Introduction to Pistol Safety, Parts, and Operation
Lesson 2: Introduction to Ammunition and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting
Lesson 3: Introduction to Pistol Shooting from the Benchrest Position
Lesson 4: Introduction to Pistol Cleaning, Storage, and Training Opportunities
Students will receive:
NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook
NRA FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation Completion Certificate
NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program booklet
